Blue Koopa/Turtle Shell Backpack by IkuniHattori Blue Koopa/Turtle Shell Backpack by IkuniHattori
Ever feel like you can't get ahead in life? Then this is the backpack for you!

^Always wanted to say that. :3

So, do you remember playing Mario Kart playing multiplayer and you're in first place. And then all of a sudden, on one of your friends' screens, you hear that unmistakable hissing sound of a blue shell being hurtled at you? In the early games, you'd fall back and to the side. On the later games, you'd just fall back and, if someone couldn't pass you, try to take the nearest driver out with you.
And then you realize that the mushroom that you've been saving since Lap 1 (it's Lap 3) will finally pay off! Instead of using it at the finish line just to make your friends grumpy, as the flying blue shell in honing in on you, you wait for it to drop and then use that red mushroom to give you that extra boost of speed. The blue shell detonates harmlessly behind you (and in the face of your number 1 competitor), leaving you to coast across the finish line, the champion of another race.

Yea, long description. But I knew I had to make this backpack, because I ended up having a dream about its pattern. I mean, when my dreams start having me crochet in them, it was meant to be.

"So, the pattern can be like this; and this; and this." *wakes up* "Crap. Now I have to start on it!" XD

Nintendo owns Mario. I don't. Simple as that.

I might. My exams are coming up soon, so ask again around May if you're still interested. And if you are, they are going to be sold for about $80.00 USD.

The thing is, when I'm out and about with it, and I feel tired and can sit or lay down, I usually use it as a pillow, lol. The spikes are actually quite comfortable. :)

OH MY GOODNESS. I crocheted a Bowser Backpack like this a few years ago, and I have always ALWAYS wanted to make a blue version JUST so I could use the same "Can't get ahead in life?" line! :lmao: Hilarious!

I love this, the dark blue lines look great!

This turned out so well! That's some top-notch crochet work there! My work is more along the lines of "Look, it's a square!" and "Another scarf!" xD

Thank you! And you'll be able to do something like this someday too. All you need is practice and instructional videos off of youtube. XD (that's how I learned, lol)

Usually I find something I want to make and just find a way to make it, but this one, as said in the Artist's Comments, I actually got the pattern in one of my dreams. Weird, I know, but hey, it worked. :3

She's been making things like this for years. I guess when you start doing enough patterns, you can piece things together. Its hilarious how she is now having dreams about how to make them xD
